Corey Mouatt is an Australian physiotherapist, high-performance movement specialist, and the designer and engineer behind the BodySpanner — a precision self-myofascial treatment system developed to restore movement and reduce reliance on passive therapy.
He graduated from the University of Queensland with a degree in Physiotherapy, intentionally pursuing the discipline to understand the scientific foundations of musculoskeletal wellness. His motivation was personal. Following groin surgery at 18 and multiple bilateral tibial stress reactions that disrupted his early sporting ambitions, Corey sought deeper answers than symptom management alone.
Rather than accept long-term dependence on treatment providers, he immersed himself in biomechanics, tissue-loading principles, neuromuscular control, and fascial mechanics.
Over time, he began developing self-treatment strategies using improvised mechanical tools to replicate directional manual therapy techniques. This process led to the creation of more than 30 individual prototypes targeting different anatomical regions.
These concepts ultimately consolidated into what is now known as the BodySpanner — a modular system engineered to deliver precise, directional pressure to targeted tissues across the entire body.
Across a career spanning more than 20 years, Corey has worked extensively in private practice and with senior state league sporting teams. He has supported over 100 athletes who have progressed to become world champions or Olympic medalists.
Alongside his clinical work, Corey maintains an active athletic background, including Australian rules football, black belt taekwondo, competitive golf, three Ironman triathlons, and more than two decades of Pilates training.
His work today focuses on empowering individuals with practical, evidence-informed tools to manage pain, restore function, and enhance performance independently.
