About Corey \/ Physio & The Bodyspanner<\/span><\/h4>
For over 20 years, Corey Mouatt has focused on one core question:<\/div>
Why do so many people stay trapped in pain, dysfunction, and the endless \u201csee you next week\u201d treatment cycle?<\/div>
As an Australian physiotherapist, high-performance movement specialist, coach, and lifelong athlete, Corey\u2019s journey was never built solely in clinics or textbooks \u2014 it was built through personal injury, curiosity and an obsession with restoring human movement at its source.<\/div>
After suffering significant injuries as a young athlete, including groin surgery and multiple bilateral tibial stress reactions, Corey has multiple personal experiences of the frustration many people know too well: temporary relief without long-term answers. Despite working with highly respected practitioners, he found himself searching for something deeper than symptom management alone.<\/div>
That search became a lifelong mission.<\/div>
Graduating from the University of Queensland with a degree in Physiotherapy, Corey immersed himself in biomechanics, neuromuscular control, fascial mechanics, movement optimisation, tissue loading, rehabilitation, and performance optimisation. Over time, his career expanded far beyond traditional physiotherapy, integrating years of experience in Pilates, strength and conditioning, martial arts, triathlon, golf, functional movement, and elite athletic performance.<\/div>
Over more than 20 years in private practice and high-performance sport, Corey has worked with thousands of individuals, from chronic pain sufferers to everyday people and elite athletes \u2014 including more than 100 who progressed to become world champions or Olympic medalists.<\/div>
But throughout all of that experience, one thing became increasingly clear:<\/div>
True progress comes when people understand, restore, and own their movement.<\/div>
That philosophy led to the creation of the Body Spanner.<\/div>
What began as improvised self-treatment tools built from pipes, cables, handles, belts, bolts, and anything Corey could engineer into movement solutions eventually evolved into more than 40 self-treatment prototypes \u2014 all designed to replicate the targeted precision of directional pressure of elite hands-on therapy.<\/div>
After years of refinement, testing, and real-life application, those concepts became the award-winning Bodyspanner:<\/div>
